Illegal immigrants aren't taking your job.

They aren't; it's true. I mean, unless you are a strawberry picker or day worker who hangs out by Home Depot looking for work. The problem with undocumented workers isn't the fault of the worker, it's the fault of the employer hiring them regardless of their citizenship status. If your local Pizza Hut hires a few Mexicans to cook pizzas instead of college kids, that isn't the fault of the immigrants for taking the job. There's a problem with the system and cracking down on employers who hire undocumented workers, not a problem with immigrants trying to make some money to get a better life. Thoughts?

  • I think it's funny when people get all mad about immigrants coming here illegally and not paying taxes. Do you think they don't want to be citizens? Do you think they wouldn't love to be a part of this country and pay taxes? My father just earned his citizenship 3 years ago after living here for over 20 years. He was a resident for a while, got a superintendent job in a construction company and makes 100k even every year. He was born in a house made of cardboard and tin metal. Came to the U.S., got a job from working hard, and people over here speak English and expect government aid? Hell no. My father is the reason I'm a republican and don't pity people who constantly take from the government "ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country" and that quote is from a democrat! Oh how times have changed.
