I'm not saying they can't have rights, I'm saying they shouldn't be allowed to marry. A civil union is fine; they still have the same rights as others.

Why call it something different if it is, for all intents and purposes, the same thing?

It's not the same thing technically, but it might as well be. My point is that I don't like to condone it or agree with it, but I still personally don't like to deprive people of rights.
