My home county has already let schools close 2 hours early (maybe they just wanted to go home early because it's Friday). We're all hoping that the wrestling team here at school doesn't have to cancel their match tomorrow too.
So has the snow today affected you? What's the most snow you've ever seen?

Edited by Downserj: 1/25/2013 9:34:34 PMSome schools around my area were closed today. But there wasn't any snow, it was just freezing rain. The weather has been in the teens and 20's here for about a week. It hasn't affected me yet, but there have been tons of wrecks all around the area. There have been at least two occasions for sure that we have had over a foot of snow, but nothing compared to people hit by the Great Lakes Effect snow. There hasn't been much snow here this winter though. We've had some bad ice storms here, one that knocked out 200,000 peoples power for about 10 days back in '09.

It's snowing here in Maryland too.

I was born in Germany. I don't remember it though. My parents have told me they have been closed in by 2 or 3 feet of snow before. As for me, I've seen a couple inches of snow on two occasions. Snow isn't exactly the norm in Louisiana. Highs of 70 degrees this week... Kind of depressing :\

I don't think it's going to snow around seattle this year...

It's in the negatives here (Fahrenheit) and I still walk 20 minutes across campus for my class'. I've spent most of my life as a New Englander (North East US for you foreigners, it's COLD), I've been training for this semester for my whole life.

I'm in South Carolina, and they let us out early because of a forcast of sleet

Edited by The Mush lol: 1/25/2013 8:44:26 PMSnow doesn't have much of an impact on me, I deal with it every year. I think the most snow I have seen is about 1 m of it. Of course, where I'm from, I don't get that much snow, but it stays cold enough all winter long that most of the time, it stays on the ground from November to April. Oh you mean at once, oh god, I don't know, maybe like 25-30 cm?

It's nearly 80°F here. I sweat a little bit going to lunch. And the sun is out. Maybe I'll fly a kite later.

We didn't have school today!

Snow on my car when I got out of class. No gloves or hat. Car takes 15 minutes to heat up. :( Most I've seen around here is probably 4 inches in one falling.
