Dead Space 3 Concerns

For those who are interested in getting Dead Space 3, you may want to consider the following three things: 1. It will include microtransactions. http://www.ign.com/videos/2013/01/22/news-dead-space-3-includes-microtransactions 2. It isn't optimized for PC. http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/01/29/dead-space-3-not-superior-on-pc 3. DLC has already been announced, despite the fact that the game hasn't even hit stores yet. http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/01/29/dead-space-3-dev-hints-at-disturbing-dlc To sum it up, I wouldn't recommend buying this game (if you actually care about what I recommend). No game with a $60 price tag should include microtransactions, and no developer should make plans for their games DLC before the game even comes out. Not to mention the fact that PC gamers are getting completely ripped off because the developer is to lazy to make a good PC port. In the interest of fairness? Really? Hopefully the VicseralGames/EA realize their mistake and decide to fix the PC port, put the DLC planned into the original game, and drop the microtransactions. Of course, this probably won't happen.

I don't care about the microtransactions. Dead Space 1 and 2 had them. Dead Space Mobile stepped forward and made it so you could buy credits and ammo and such(too far IMO.) As long as you can get through the game without the support of microtransactions then there's nothing to freak out about. Disk Locked content that is being used to sell to us later is glaringly annoying. A good example of this was Gears of War 3's first map pack which was on the disk but you couldn't play it unless you bought it. And even if you did buy it your friends could join your game and play it because it was ON THE DISK. In my opinion if it's on the disk we should have access to it. End of story. Dead Space 3 isn't scary. So what? We're on our 3rd game now with Necromorphs. We know what they are. What they're capable of. Unless EA went all-out Slender/SCP containment breach on us it won't be scary anymore. That would just make it stupid. It's supposed to be psychological fear. Give you a feeling of uneasyness. Jump scares are stupid.
