The top half demonstrates the problem and is at normal zoom. The bottom half shows the problem solved at 90% zoom (or whatever one click of the mouse wheel out is). The image doesn't look like shit if you actually click the URL underneath it to view it directly.

Ah, no, now I see. If I access from the public side there's nothing extra. If I access it from within the group I HAVE ALL THE POWER.

FYI, I still have my edit powers for the OP, but they do not include the ability to remove the thread from the public. Bug report time.
