I had to start this after seeing this http://www.bungie.net/en-US/View/community/Forum/Post?id=59767423 thread in the mains. I found a picture online of my first official car, and I have to admit, I'm a little choked up. I loved that car and still have dreams about is and my '86 Mustang GT sometimes. Well, this one wasn't mine, but it is almost exactly the same.
This car is a 1972 Mercury Montego GT. Mine was the same color, and rims, though I had 60's on the back, shag carpet, even in the trunk, 8-track tape player and customized (bastaredized) speakers, 351 windsor 2 barrel and a glass pack muffler. The only difference is, mine was originally an MX. not a GT (a little more elegant rear window line, not the fat fastback look). I was driving to school one morning, hit black ice and ended up wrecking the front end. My Dad found a GT front end for it, and we replaced it and repainted it the same basic green, only metallic. It really rocked back then. I wish I could find it again. I'd restore it, and make it a cruiser/toy.
I miss this car.

1988 Honda Prelude (Manual). That pic isn't of mine, but it's the same. Except my hood was way more faded and chipped. The car was a POS through and through. First day I had it, it suffered engine problems so bad I couldn't even get home from school. Felt like trying to drive a car from a stand still in 5th gear. That took about $700 dollars to fix. Mind you, I'm working at a fast food place during my sophmore year of highschool, and my parents weren't able to spare any money to help out. Finally got it back from the garage, and it lasted about 5 months before the engine blew up. Turns out the garage did something wrong, but we couldn't do anything about it. Sold the car for scraps. Moved on to a '95 Altima (Manual). Had that for almost 2 years then sold it when I joined the military and moved overseas. And then in August 2012 I bought what has been my dream car since I first saw it in 2003. I now drive a black 2008 350z, and I absolutely love it. Obviously I would have loved a 370z, but I'm not quite making that kind of money yet.
