I originally saw this topic on Reddit, but what are some seemingly miniscule things that a person could say to you that would make you instantly loathe them?

I was at Subway and heard a girl pronounce the word 'Italian' as "Eye-talian," the most white trash butchering of a word's pronunciation that I can think of. It's a pet peeve of mine for sure, and it may be a small mistake, but it never fails to raise my blood pressure some.
Eye-literacy must really be a bitch.

I would start listing things but I'd be typing all day.

I hate it when I am with someone or talking to them and they say, "I know you don't want to be here" or "I know you don't care" or "Stop pretending to care" . I hate the phrase "I know you _____." in general. Seriously, unless you can read minds don't say that phrase.

When people will believe everything they hear and immediately take it as fact. A girl on Facebook the other night posted "Oh my god Justin Bieber died, I'm crying my eyes out right now :(" Apparently someone had told her this and she believed it. Turns out he read an article about a photographer dying in a car crash while following her... and then told her Justin had died in that. If people would take just 3 -blam!-ing seconds to Google search that shit... Just like everyone telling me Ken Block died the other day in a car crash. Where the -blam!- is the news article please and thank you?

If we're doing pronunciation of things, people who say lar-tay instead of la-tay (latte) need to be shot. In general, people who say things like "economics is useless because it assumes that people are rational when actually they aren't". People need to learn what rationality means in an economic context, learn that actually there are quite a lot of economic models which don't involve rational agents, and most importantly of all, stop thinking that just because I study economics means I give a shit about their views on it.

"I'm an introvert." -blam!- you, you're just making excuses for your complete lack of social skills.
-
"I don't like Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood." "I don't like Avatar: The Last Airbender." "I don't like Avatar: The Legend of Korra."

I'm fine with ignorance, that means they can be enlightened and taught the error of their ways. Stupidity on the other hand, can't be helped.

People who claim to have IQs in the 160-170+ range I mean come on. If you were anywhere near as smart as you'd like everyone to think you wouldn't be such an obvious dipshit.

Wait, I thought of a better one: When people say Turrent, instead of Turret. You're dead to me when that happens.

Anytime someone talks in a specific way with the goal of sounding smart. Red flags are phrases like "so to speak", "per se", or excessive jargon. The goal of speaking is to be understood, not to impress others.

"No I won't do THAT to you!"

"The Holocaust was a lie."

"We're only human". In that case I'm super human because I don't make stupid decisions.

"We need to ban guns" "We need gun control" "Ban assault weapons" "Why do you need a assault weapon" "You don't need a AR-15 to hunt!" "But the AR in AR-15 stands for Assault Rifle!"

Anybody who says 'YOLO' and isn't joking. Anybody who says CoD is different with every new game. Anybody who says Halo 2 had a good campaign.

At least you're good for somethin.

Anyone who says, "I know prohibition doesn't work but I can't support legalizing weed." I instantly know they are weak in the head.

There's no one phrase that really makes me angry, just the persons attitude and character (if that makes sense.) Like racism, homophobia, etc.
-
There are innumeral things people can say to make me hate them. But mostly when I figure out that they're dumber than me.
-
Words people say that make me believe they're idiots: Totes Perf YOLO SWAG ( Not to be confused with the acronym S.W.A.G.) Aside from those, basic pronunciation and grammatical errors don't bother me much. People spouting misinformation or lies as if it were the gospel truth irk me much, much more.
