Will there be a Destiny Beta?
I hope that there will be a beta and at the same time i hope there won't be. so i would like to hear your opinions on the matter

I would say that it is HIGHLY likely that there will be a beta that will be available to at least a select group of folks in the bungie community. whether or not they choose to expand this to a public beta at a later date, I have no idea. I'll leave commenting on that to Bungie-Employed folk like DeeJ.

Plus, it'd give them an insite on just how many people would be willing to play the game. Another reason is because of what happened with Halo 4, 343i made alot of mistakes that could have been fixed with an open Beta.

They are creating a new game with a new story. I think the best thing to do would to have a beta so we can give bungie feedback, because they are giving us something new, and it would be smart to do it.

Bungie likes betas and there is a beta survey/sign-up..... so yeah.... pretty sure there will be a Destiny Beta. If there [i]isn't[/i] a beta for Destiny then these forums are going to RAGE EXPLODE.

Ofcourse there will be a beta, the question is if they are making it public or inviting some of us. That would be crazy tho, I'd love it.

Whilst Activision don't have any track record of Betas, (as far as I know), I doubt they would want to be doing it. Hopefully Bungie can bring them to realise the importance of a beta.

I don't care if there is a public, private or no beta at all. I just want to play the beta if there is one :)

I would think it might be a good idea to include one. You know, since it's a new project and all, and Bungie, just as any game developer working on a new project, needs feedback. So hopefully we'll have some sort of beta.

There will be, user in-put is invaluable intel for Bungie. If there was/is a beta for Bungie.next then you can be damn sure there will be one for something a lot bigger.

Edited by Spawn: 2/11/2013 2:22:14 PMAll developers go through internal beta testing for their games and DeeJ has made it clear that it's already happening at Bungie. However for a [i]public beta[/i] similar to Halo 3 and Halo Reach, we don't know. We'll have to wait and see.

Definitely. There are always certain things that devs won't take into account. Just look at Halo 4's multiplayer, which didn't have a beta.
