The new website layout is terrible
Congrats, you tried to copy twitter and reddit and failed terribly. The old layout was pretty much perfect and was actually good enough to keep me coming back despite you cranking out shit-tier games since Reach.
The new forum layout did to this website what Reach did to the Halo series, completely killed any long term fan-support you had. I mean, it wasn't even an innovative change, you just mashed a bunch of popular features from other websites together.
Whoever thought this was a good idea should probably kill themself.

They should've kept more of the old. A lot more.

I only have a problem with the size of the avatars, and of course the lack of my title bar lol. But seriously, IT'S A BETA. It is constantly growing and hopefully you like the end product. I think this thread would be a little bit better if you gave some [b]constructive[/b] criticism.

I used to have an issue with the site layout, but now I am used to it and think it works quite well, aside from a few minor changes that could be implemented. The thing I am most excited about is the dark theme I found today. It is so much easier on my eyes and is reminiscent of the old site's atmosphere. I <3 dark theme soooo much. But I agree with BBB, you offer no criticism to actually help improve anything.

And the idea of mashing a bunch of popular features from other things is exactly what Combat Evolved did: the only real "innovation" was recharging health, although a minor argument could be made for only being able to have two weapons. Besides, imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, and if it works (and given the popularity of the websites that Bungie borrowed elements from, it does) then it's clearly workable.

Hey did you know this is a beta? Did you know that some suggestions have already been taken into account regarding feedback? Did you know if you ask nicely and present good arguments why a certain feature should be included, it might happen? Did you know being rude and insulting and offering for people to kill themselves is a waste of time and doesn't help a single person and makes you look like an unhelpful jerk? The old layout might have looked nice but in terms of functionality it was old and dated. Get used to this website and then go to Waypoint, you'll see what I mean.

You're pleasant. Reach was a good game. You just didn't like it. Some other people also didn't like it. However a lot of people did like it. Get over it. And this is just a Beta for the site. You should have seen it before Bungie added Forums back and didn't have a "Dark" option available.
