I think since this game is made by the people who created the ability to add things to the environment in a game and share it with the community, this game should have it to but even better than before. One suggestion that I propose is the ability to jump from map to map when playing this gametype but can also create hills in the maplike other games.

For what reason would it not have a map editor? It adds tonnes of replay value and life to the game.

We just don't know enough about the game yet. Is there even a multiplayer that would warrant a user map editor? Surely there would be.........

Come on don't be negative about it. There are lots of people who love forge in Halo. If they can get all of them back plus more they might make a sequel that would be even better if this one is good enough.

i don't see how this would be applicable to destiny. However we don't really know jack sh*t about the gameplay so....

It couldn't really work in Destiny.

Let's hope so, although we don't have much info.

Edited by jutsu: 2/17/2013 9:10:39 PMAnother idea for forge is a large empty area on different planets that players can make their own maps, and when you go to said places you can view/download/play other players maps.

Exactly that's why we put on their minds before the game comes out that way they can think about it and if they like the idea they'll put it in.

We know nothing of competitive multiplayer. Sure, Halo had forge, but we could never affect any firefight maps or campaign levels. Since Destiny will basically be one (or several) huge firefight or campaign levels, we might not even get a map editor.

I don't think a map editor would really work in an online MMO like this(speculation is speculation). But then again we have no idea how the multiplayer will work, there could be completely separate areas for it where user created things could be added.
