...besides jumping around aimlessly.
But, it truth, this is something that many games like to incorporate as a fun aspect for their characters. In fact, if you guys fondly remember Star Wars: Galaxies (R.I.P.) you could very well thrive in the game by being a dancer. You, Bungie, have a unique opportunity here. We know Destiny is a shared world shooter, not unlike "Journey", and not an MMO, but run with me here a little bit.
Warning, this may be a little console discriminatory.
The power of MS Kinect = Unique character dancing.
Advantages:
1. Truly one of a kind. First video game freely and uniquely express themselves in a physical way.
2. Marketing Gem. I'm sure your Marketing and Sales Departments would love to be able to sell this game as a way to be active.
3. Note just for dancing: It seems very plain to me that you at Bungie are truly trying make people's character feel unique to each (I love the inclusion of cloaks, capes, and talbards). What better way for people to show off their badass selves.
4. Squatting over your victim Exercise has never been more encouraging.
5. Many embarrassing moments ...Social Media has never been more your friend.
Disadvantages:
1. Only PC and Xbox Support ...unless you were able to work some magic with the PS3 remotes.
2. More work I don't know how you have actions scripted, and maybe this would be fairly easy to accomplish. I haven't really looked into the Kinect API
3. Many embarrassing moments ...Social Media has never been more your enemy.
I know you guys have your hands full and, to be honest, you may already have a solution like this, have thought of this already, or have different/better idea, but I LOVE YOU BUNGIE. You have positively affected my life in so many ways and I am eternally grateful. For realzies. Halo ceased to be your thing just as Star Wars ceased to be only Lucas'. It became a part of our culture. I have a feeling you may succeed in that way twice with Destiny. This is our baby and I'd be honored to be a part of it and help in anyway possible. Even if it is only a simple forum post about an idea I had.
Love,
Ben
