The enemy has captured Captain Keyes, and are holding him aboard one of their cruisers, the Truth and Reconciliation. The ship is currently holding position approximately three hundred meters above the other end of this plateau.
Once we get inside the ship, I should be able to lock on to the tracking signal from Captain Keyes' neural implants.

Your title just brought the times I played this missions countless times.
-
Why is it Keyes apparently enjoys being captured?
-
The Covenant use a Gravity Lift to ferry troops and supplies between the ship and the surface. We need to ambush them at the Grav Lift's loading zone, and use the lift to enter the ship.
-
I -blam!-ING HATED THAT LEVEL DAMNIT
-
Ah -blam!-! We've got hunters coming down the grav-lift, requesting immediate assistance!
-
Marines! The Master Chief and I have secured the grav lift. Mop up any remaining Covenant and meet us at the beam.
-
So how do we get inside the ship if it's in the air? The corps issued me a rifle, not wings.

One of my favorite missions in all of Halo ;)

How are we going to get aboard the ship if it's in the air? Corp is made of rifles not wings.

Edited by Spooter: 2/21/2013 5:23:45 PMHow long do you estimate it will take before the Covenant can deactivate the Lift? We're on borrowed time as is, but if we can get Master Chief and a few squads to capture the Lift area, and then take over the opposing area within the ship... Well, then we've got an advantage and starting point within. Any who try to retreat will be mowed down. Officers Orders: Alright, get the Rockets. We're in a canyon as is, so if we can properly do this, we could take out the plasma turrets and a good percentage of their forces if we can get the rock walls and create artificial rock slides. Snipers should take proper positions up top also. Regular forces down below should take a trident formation, spreading to the sides to surround the enemy forces as the Chief and select squads advance with him as support. That way we split their forces into two separate parts. Make sure to keep a few Frags at the ready, what with there being word of Hunters. That is, after we take out the Drop Ships. Get troops to focus fire on when the sides open.
-
Put it to a vote All in favour of saving captain keyes say "aye" the rest of us will sit this one out and watch the fire works :)
-
So we're going to save the Captain, but what after? Gotta plan and prepare for the future, ya know? Well, as Lieutenant Commander, I suggest that we capture the ship. It would offer us some protection and it would be simple to procure weapons that the Covenant left behind. Sure, we would have heavy losses in clearing the damn thing out, but overall we'll be better prepared for the eventually takeover of this... Ring thingy.

What? He was the one who came to us!
