From the first game of team BRs I played, it instantly felt like I was being thrown back into halo 3. The weapons felt more balanced and even the maps seemed to play much better. I thought making the armour abilities ordnance was brilliant, though arguably you get too few of them to make much of a difference.
What are your opinions on team throwdown?

I really don't like how enemies don't show up on radar. What the hell is the point of even having it? Give it a working radar and a secondary weapon (preferably a pistol) And I will -blam!-ing love it.
-
Its a camping assasin fest without hostiles on radar. Crouching is useless and skill is eliminated.

I'm looking for some new people to play this playlist with. Add REW Rewind if you're interested. I also play a lot of customs and doubles
-
i love it. Just wish TruSKkill and ranks were here o I didnt HAVE to go in with a good team to do something
-
It's definitely a good decision. In march Truskill will be implemented and then it will be all good.
-
Hell yes it is. Only problem is that people have developed the habit of quitting out on Halo 4 so it becomes quite a pain in the ass when everyone on your team drops.
-
Until everyone on your team quits.

Yes and no. Yes: The need for competitive Halo is great. This is a good step for the resurgence of competition. No: To me, as a long time and almost exclusive Halo player, it feels like they are trying to go backwards instead of work in the right direction. It seems like they are trying to make it like Halo of the past, instead of working with what they have. With mostly BR starts and no armor abilities if feels like a knocked off, replicated Halo 3. What I think they need to do is incorporate more of the "newer" things to the game, (DMRs, Amor Abilities) and make a style of competition Halo hasn't seen before. There's a lot of concepts that haven't even scratched the surface with this title, the lack of Extraction and Bomb gametypes suggest this and they house so much dormant potential. But hey, I'm not calling the shots, hopefully they can come up with something fun.

It's a step in the right direction but I feel that they could do much more to speed up the game. I'd rather they use LR or DMR starts they kill much faster and allow more of the weapon sandbox to be used.
-
It's fantasmic, if only they would make it so CSR was visible in game too.
-
Agreed, it feels like Halo 3 taken to the next logical conclusion.
-
It'd be nice if I could try it out, but the servers are down. -___-
-
I just hope its not too late to get the population back

Edited by Neph: 2/23/2013 12:55:41 AMYes, Team Throwdown has that Halo feel I've been missing! Plays very well from what I've experienced so far. I think we've got Bravo to thank for these steps in the right direction.

I liked Halo 4 as soon as I played it but it was missing that Halo feel. Team Throwdown is like the missing piece of the puzzle for me and it's made Halo 4 feel just right. It needs some updates and changes but I'm very optimistic.

As Halo 3 had my favorite gameplay in the series I'm enjoying team throwdown a lot. I think they should give those classic styled games more support in the future. Here's hoping for some Forge remakes to be thrown in.
