Discussing this in a related topic. What if the Traveler represents Joyeuse, or Charlemage perhaps??

It's possible that there's an entity/personality/AI within the traveler that identifies as Joyeuse.

You can take Charlemagne's character and have a female represent that character without issue. Gender won't matter, considering how this is hundred of years in the future and the culture would have changed.
