He does have one for fighting his tougher enemies (namely Killer Croc, Bane, and [i]-blam!-in' Superman[/i]), he just doesn't use it.

If the opportunity ever arises, he'll reluctantly use them. He just prefers to battle with his intuition and intelligence rather than rely on technology all the time.
