Why doesn't Batman make an Iron-Man-esque suit?
Seriously, why not? He could definitely do it, and it would be a whole lot easier to deliver hard, painful justice.

He does have one for fighting his tougher enemies (namely Killer Croc, Bane, and [i]-blam!-in' Superman[/i]), he just doesn't use it.

If the opportunity ever arises, he'll reluctantly use them. He just prefers to battle with his intuition and intelligence rather than rely on technology all the time.
