Helping out the homeless? Giving people a place to stand? Doing good in this word? So long as it doesn't cost me a penny.
This mentality pisses me off. Why do people hate welfare? Because they have to chip in an extra ten or so dollars a month. God forbid you show some compassion. And yet we always toot the trumpet of "poverty is bad", and "goodwill toward all men on Earth". God, that's phony.
Anyone else agree?

I dislike it because I work DAMN hard for my money. And it sucks that I have to give up 30%+ of my paycheck to bad government programs. I dont mind giving to schools, fire departments, and police officers but giving to inner city scum that refuse to work and live off of me, I find disgusting. As for "helping out" the homeless. I dont. because in the past, whenever Ive given a homeless man 5 bucks or something. He goes to the nearest liquor store and buys some alcohol. So I dont waste my money anymore.
