Helping out the homeless? Giving people a place to stand? Doing good in this word? So long as it doesn't cost me a penny.
This mentality pisses me off. Why do people hate welfare? Because they have to chip in an extra ten or so dollars a month. God forbid you show some compassion. And yet we always toot the trumpet of "poverty is bad", and "goodwill toward all men on Earth". God, that's phony.
Anyone else agree?

Most poor/homeless people around here really are lazy bums. It wouldn't be difficult for them to make a living in this area, and yet they prefer to just sit around, do drugs and get drunk, and hold up signs begging for money. If they are not willing to try, then they don't deserve my money, so why should I give it to them?
