Anime Introductory Suggestions

I have recently made the decision that I would like to get into anime. Any suggestions? No huge lists though, as I honestly don't have the time to watch everything right now. Long fanboy/fangirl obsession rants ARE permitted.

Watch Full Metal Alchemist and then Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Also, you really need to watch Cowboy Bebop and Angel Beats.
