So, the majority of atheists are very intellectual, correct?
And the majority of religious people are generally poor, humble and uneducated. Why is it that smart people are atheists and the not as smart are religious? Here's another question: All of the Mormon leaders, Jewish leaders very smart and yet the most religious? It seems with these religions the smarter you are, the more religious. The vast majority of the general authorities, quorum of the seventy, twelve disciples, and the prophet have graduated from very prestigious schools?(all of these terms are forms of leadership within our church)
I know this is confusing and I've pieced this together terribly but I guess what my question is why is it like this?
And yes I've made a lot of generalizations and I'm sure there's lots of smart religious people(that don't belong to these two religions) and dumb atheists. But these are just generalizations.

I think that's a false perception on your part. There are lots of intelligent religious people and lots of unintelligent atheists. I don't think being more intelligent makes you more likely to be a theist or an atheist, but it does make you better at rationalizing your beliefs, whatever they are. If you're a theist, you'll be better at convincing yourself God exists if you're more intelligent. If you're an atheist, you're be better at convincing yourself God doesn't exist if you're more intelligent. It won't make you more likely to be one or the other, but it'll make you more entrenched in your beliefs no matter what you are.
