[i]Deep Silver has announced the official release date of 4A Game’s Metro: Last Light on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. The game will be available in the U.S. on May 14 and Europe on May 17. Metro: last Light was originally scheduled for a March release under its previous publisher THQ. However, the rights were bought by Deep Silver parent company Koch Media for $5.8 million back in January after THQ declared bankruptcy. “The new release date is the ideal way to strike the balance between bringing the best out of Metro: Last Light and not keep the fans waiting longer than necessary,” said Koch Media CEO Dr. Klemens Kundratitz. “We won’t leave that time unexploited and will work closely together with 4A Games to make the game even better.
