Here's what I think of you, community.

So a thread about a Community Vidoc made me think about how I view the community. And so... on a whim, I decided to talk to my computer for 15 minutes about what I think about the community, what I've done in the community a little, and what I hope for the community. I don't expect many of you to make it through that. It's boring to just hear somebody drone on and on. I know. But I did want to share my thoughts and my experiences of Bungie.net with you all because I do feel a part of this community, and that vidoc project I saw really hit home. So... curious about burritosenior? The man behind the mustache bomb? Well... there you go. Probably underwhelming, I'm sure. I'm burritosenior. I don't like how high my voice sounds online/on a recording. I am sexy. And yes, I lift. Anybody have thoughts on it? I enjoy droning on.

Left a comment on the video, I'm back. Burrito you probably do not remember me, but I remember you, and I'm pretty certain I met you with Spawn on Xbox when we were playing Reach. Now this video here does bring up a valid point because I have found a private group in 2010 that.. well like you said makes up for who you are. But you have to keep something in mind.... This community isn't perfect. There are times where I was pissed at this community. Some reasons were pretty stupid, others were rather legitimate. When I first joined B.net I did not receive a warm welcome. Trolls took a shit when I tried being nice. People treated me like I'm that one user everyone should dislike. I could have left, but Bungie's old layout at the time and their weekly update is what made it addicting, even though the community was horrible in my eyes. I think about maybe 5 or 6 months of being a member, I met some decent people that seemed nice and also hated the trolls. And like you said, private groups did make up reasons for people staying, I was in a lot of private groups but I didn't really have a connection with one private group until 2010, and that private group that I'm still in and met my 2 best friends in is RA. Now granted I have yet to meet anyone there in real life, but eventually happen, hopefully. My 2 best friends already met each other in real life thanks to the group, this place, and ultimately Halo. Some people may consider me as a regular, others probably won't. I'm no longer well-known on here anyway because I don't post in the mains as often. Oddly enough I'm well known to the forum ninjas, even the ones that didn't ban me. When I have more free time, I'll consider welcoming new people knowing that it's not an alt account anymore of somebody's. I'm not the nicest person in the world nor am I the meanest, so I can understand the reason why certain people here don't like me. That's fine, but what really had bothered me throughout the years is meeting the wrong people and having to deal with their shit because they're crazy. I guess with every community you'll meet good people and bad people, just like the real world. Anyway Burrito, if you do remember me, good. If not, that's okay. I don't expect anyone here to remember me. Thanks for giving me a reason to come back and post on these forums again. This video helped.
