So i believe many people have seen or heard of Oculus Rift and know what it is. For those of you who haven't it is a virtual reality display that portrays the game you are playing in a very unique manner, if you haven't heard of it i'd heavily advise you search into it rather soon. Now onto the discussion point. Would you like to see Oculus Rift support in this game. Granted not necessary I believe it would be an amazing experience to view bungies new world in this new way. The only thing that would be necessary is 60 fps, stereo 3D, and vsync. These requirements could be easily achieved on PCs, and next gen hardware and i think it would be a great addition as it would make bungies world that much more real and alive

Looks awesome!

Make it so!

I think that would be amazing but I think your I will implode from such amazingness

It think it would be awesome to have Oculus support for Destiny, I personally think that working correctly and with the correct natural feel it would simply remove all the peripheral garbage surrounding my monitors or tv with in game surroundings, How could that possibly be a bad thing !
-
Yes, without a doubt, I seriously doubt some 'gamers' who are hating on this idea, so misinformed
-
To be honest, I think the Oculus Rift is just another gimmick, like 3D and motion/voice controls.
-
I'd love it~ I hate having other crap in my peripheral vision, I just wanna focus on the game~
-
I'd like it to be only in the ships. I don't want to keep turning my head while walking around or trying to be competitive.
-
Oh absolutely. I won't hold my breath for it coming to Destiny, but that'd be fantastic. There's already talk that Sony is experimenting with Oculus support for the PS4, so I would lose it if they announced OR support.

Edited by BigMartin58: 4/10/2013 4:14:20 AMUnless I was given the option to go into the future and inject myself with nanobots that allow me to mentally "be" in the game, I wouldnt want anything more than to play destiny on the oculus rift. lol

The Oculus Rift seems great if you are playing by yourself. If that is the case then OcRift could be fun from time to time. What would be more appealing is Microsoft's Full Room Gaming Experience. The problem with VRs like the OcRift is that it cuts you away from the outside world. Which isn't necessarily bad, but when it comes to needing to be aware of your surroundings (ex: other people in the room, animals running around, kids etc.) it just doesn't suite the needs of a social gamer, or one with priorities.

I want to say that if they were to do a pc port at some point in the future, it would come with support for the Oculus rift; simply because it fits the crazy/ awesome spectrum of thinking that bungie touts about with.

That would be rather interesting, though I'd like for Bungie to actually do something good with it, rather than just have it as a side-gimmick like Mass Effect 3 using voice commands on the Kinect.
