Suddenly you're no longer unique, it feels like.. there is another one of you.
I'd feel pretty pissed if they had the same name as me and they went around doing bad stuff.
Also the world only needs one Big Boss so...
-
Very special. I'd hope people would have the common sense to see the avatar difference though.
-
I'd rage.
-
Seeing as I'm OBVIOUSLY the most popular person here, you could say that it's quite impossible for that to happen.
-
I require another Vien to make love with...
-
My Steam name is bigboss319
-
I have my avatar to remain unique.
-
I'd follow them around and make reaction gifs to all of their posts.
-
I'd be flattered ;P
-
I'd actually find it quite comical.

Edited by Spawn: 3/5/2013 9:52:07 PMWouldn't matter really. There are other factors we use besides usernames to identify members. > Unique ID > Posting Style > If you're following the member (notice the "check" when you click on their username) or their follower count > Avatar - Especially Halo game emblem avatars that you can't create anymore > "Titles" or "special flair" that will return soon to honor the long time members of the community. > Join Date We are all our own unique snowflake!

The world does not want another analbumcover. It should be you that fears the mes.
-
Honored.
-
There can only be one GrandmasterNinja. I will make sure of that.
-
Yeah, that should really get fixed.
-
Not gonna lie, i'd be pretty pissed. Though my avatar should be unique so people won't fall for the tarp.
-
Kinda mad since I took me a while to come up with a new username.
-
I would tell everyone I was the real one, then the imposter would claim he was the real one. After this there would be a dramatic face off as you chose which one of us to shoot. You would chose to shoot me, as the imposter is much more inteligent and cunning. In my final farewell I say something that you realise only the true SkilPhil would know and say, realising your mistake you shoot the imposter. After looking at our lifeless profiles side by side you are overcome with guilt and notice the imposter used a red sticky rather than an orange sticky in his avatar, you drop to your knees and hold the gun to your head. Me and the imposter then jump up and shout 'lol jokes, its my second account' - no one laughs.
-
1v1 me bk
-
It would be flattering.
-
I wouldn't care. I'd change mine, and finally start letting someone else take the "your username means toilet in some places" related jokes.
-
I'm not that popular, but still I wouldn't care either way.
-
Wouldn't care. They'd be the ones muted, not me.
-
I could always use my Halo 2 emblem to remain unique, so I wouldn't really care.
-
I always wondered what would happen if I had an evil twin on the internet...

There are people here who I recognize by a combination of avatar, name and their posting style. Since avatars have easily changed in the past and still do, avatars are clearly not a link to the person/account. Now that names are similarly "fluid", I don't pay as close attention to names. It's what an account posts that really matters. If someone is concerned or likes having a long-term reputation on the forums, they tend to keep all 3 (name, avatar and posts) consistent. If I see someone whose posts are noise, offensive or rule-breaking, then the avatar and/or name is irrelevant. The post (and the account associated with it) is getting hidden, reported, muted, or banned. No matter who the account "really is". So, if someone copies another user's name and then starts making trouble? It's the posts by that account that will get hidden, muted, reported and it will be that account that gets dealt with, not the name, not the avatar.

Wouldn't care. We would both know who the REAL Camm is.
