Now, I know this isn't Halo Waypoint, so I'm trusting you guys to let me speak my mind. I don't want this thread to be "YEAHH DOWN WITH HALO 4, DOWN WITH FRANKIE" or anything like that, I'd rather it be a place that we can just discuss this game, the good, the bad, the ugly.
Halo 4 sucks. It sucks hard, to me. Okay, maybe I'm being a bit callous, but they're is a lot missing, and almost as many things that were added to the game that didn't need to be, and were forced down the playerbase's (what's left of it) collective throats, without even putting in the option to play without these new features. I'd make a list of these particular issues but it's been done time and time again, and you probably already know it.
Why can't Halo 4 maintain a stable, large and healthy population? Why is it that, evidently, only 1/10th of the people who bought Halo 4 still play it today? Or as best we can guess, nobody plays it every day and there are unknowns such as people who don't have XBL.
No doubt Call of Duty plays into the low population a bit, the shooter genre is dominated by three categories now:
A) The big name title, CoD coming out every year
B) Other companies trying to imitate the game's success and steal it's audience (which never works) and
C) the occasional good and original FPS that is released, only to be crushed or at least crippled by CoD's success, with some rare exceptions
I have a feeling 343i's mishandling of some elements of it's post launch support also helped, and maybe even some of the things that have been in the game since launch that are still irritating fans. Either way, I'm still baffled.
Why did Halo 4 fail? What do you guys think?

Most played and most sold Halo game to date. Not really a failure.
