I stand on having a physical copy over a digital anytime, anyday. The smell, the feel of having the book in your hands, turning the pages, caring if a page gets bent or folded, having your collection neatly stacked... I find it all to be vastly superior to what a Kindle or any other electronic device can offer to the senses, which make the experience all the better. While digital can offer a simple place to have all your books stored in one place, it just isn't the same. It's like if you were reading yet another article on the internet. It doesn't feel as a book should, and no amount of little details (swiping your finger across the screen to turn page) can compensate for it. You can't give a friend a digital copy like you could a physical book. You can't knock someone out as effectively with a big physical book as you could with a kindle or computer without wrecking it. There is no search for the book online as there would be in the book store. So many little details that make physical copies the king in the past, present and also the foreseeable future, IMO.
Anyways, where do you guys stand on this matter? Do you prefer the digital or physical copies of books?

Physical books. I plan on having a large, intellectual, and cool private library when I have my own home.
