So some of you may know that I own a Bavarian Motor Work. (Actually probably none of you know that.) Well its been becoming sort of a hassle to deal with. Like most cars with 177,000 miles on them its been starting to have problems pop up here and there. I've got to hand it to BMW though, nothing has really gone all that wrong with it. Mechanically it works great. We've had to get a new alternator and that's about it. But little things are beginning to break and its getting to the point where it would be more cost effective to just lease a new car.
So, on to my main topic. What should I lease? Today my dad and I went around town and checked out all the dealerships. Preferably I want a coupe, but a hatchback would be fine, I really don't want a sedan but if push comes to shove I'll get one. It also needs to have a manual transmission. The main cars that caught my eye were the Honda Accord, Honda Civic, and the Hyundai Elantra. I really liked the Accord. I mean hands down it was the best car I saw today. The Civic was alright but I'd almost rather have the Elantra over it. We're going to check out a Toyota dealership in our neighboring town tomorrow but It'll be hard for them to top the Accord Coupe.
What do you guys think; any other cars out there that you think would be better? What do you think about my choice of the Accord?

I'm leasing my first car too, it's great.

Update! I'm getting a 2013 Ford Focus SE! I can't wait to drive this thing, as soon as my car gets fixed we're taking it in and trading it.

HA!!! Good luck bro. I hope you studied the economics really well. Make sure you're not paying more than you should. Make sure you quality for a good deal so you don't end up paying more than the car is worth. i like buying used cars. but ive never leased before haha You're talking about cool cars but I'm telling you to be aware of the economics

Edited by Mega Blaziken: 3/13/2013 4:24:39 AMbe aware of economics, like Venasaur said, and if you're looking for something nice, look for a lancer, Focus, or a MX5 they're good cars for the price. also, if you can, buy used.

I would never lease.

Edited by Verachi: 3/13/2013 4:23:59 AMLeasing sucks if you use the car a lot. I'm pretty sure you're only allowed a certain mileage a month. If you go over your mileage you have to pay them the difference when you return the car, but If you decide to keep the car then obviously you don't have to pay the difference for overused millage. If I were you I'd buy a used car. If the mileage isn't an issue for you then go ahead and get it. I don't really like leasing mostly because your paying for something you won't keep.
