HMS Belfast celebrates the 75th anniversary of its launch this weekend.
It was one of the largest and most powerful cruisers in the Royal Navy and saw more than 30 years of active service.
The vessel has been moored on the River Thames since 1971 and veterans and VIPs are returning this weekend to celebrate.
Have you been on a warship, retired or still in active duty? I went on a small RN ship which patrolled the Channel Islands and they supplied the booze and they tied our sail boat to their ship.
It was a fun night and 2 lovely beauty's in bikini's washing down on the jetty <3

I've been on the HMS Belfast. Incredible ship.

I've been fortunate to board more than a few retired and floating museums. They are amazing demonstrations of technology (of their time) and our attachment to the ships we make. I am saddened that Enterprise was not able to be similarly retired, she was an incredible ship. Well Done, HMS Belfast.
