There's an extension that stops Google from collecting info on you, so other than that I don't see a problem with having a sync'd Google account. It's come in handy a few times when I'm over at a friend's house or something. Plus, there's Incognito mode for more nefarious web searches that you don't want to be recorded.

Don't want these features? Don't sign in. On top of that, even when you are signed in, you can tell the browser to not track specific things. Now stop crying.

IF you have a chrome account activated. I do not browse with a chrome and google account. The only time I have a google account is for my cell phone because it forces me.

It doesn't have me covered since it doesn't work on my laptop at all; it doesn't load webpages and gets stuck, and most of the time just freezes. IE and FF work just fine. I've done everything to fix it...

Honestly, I find people get too defensive over their privacy - I have nothing to hide, and if I do want to hide something, there's always incognito browsing. You also have to remember that it is highly likely that a person will ever look at your information - its all automated.
