Iran has launched a domestically built destroyer in the Caspian Sea, according to state TV.
The Jamaran-2 was inaugurated in the port city of Anzali on the Caspian Sea.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said the deployment was aimed at bolstering peace and friendship in the region.
Edited by Commander Tempu: 3/17/2013 7:39:24 PMGood Luck Finding our subs..i guess its Irans way of keeping the other Middle East nations and Soviet era Subs off there waters. Good Luck as the old USSR had a hard time keeping us from keeping an eye on them.. And Speaking of Russians, They have a navy that is good as the USA. Fun Fact we only have five battleships...most ships are organized into Carrier Battle groups. Task Forces ect. I forget the number but we have 7-8 Carrier Battle groups at sea 24/7.
-
Lol it's probably fake.
-
I'd be more impressed if it was a Star Destroyer.
Destroyers create friends, wish I knew that.
Hey man, Friendship via intimidation is still friendship.

Welcome Iran to systematically destroying yourself slowly.
-
We have 283 battle force ships and 2,468 active warheads. I think we are going to be fine.
-
You humans say your weapons are built for peace... The only way to obtain true peace is when your kin is wiped out.
-
1 destroyer vs. Americas Navy. Good luck.

-
Probably code for we're hunting for your subs you Western Devils. Whatever, welcome to the Middle East arms race.
-
It looks like a destroyer, all right. But is it as sophisticated as any of the western world's?

Pretty big step for Tehran. I doubt it works, though.
