Anybody wondering just how competitive multiplayer will fit into Destiny? What's your idea?
My thought is that there will be the regular death-match and simple objective game-types, but I'm getting a bit tired of that. Bungie seems like just the right group to pull off something more involved. Any thoughts?

I kind of like the direction that Sentinel is going, but I think we can do more with it. Since Destiny is an "always on, always connected" game, rather than just huge free-for-all's or squad based MM, let's go one further. Massive Squad FFA. You take your squad of up to six, and the game puts you in a transport. The transport drops you off on the edge of a massive plateau where there is a huge battle already in progress amongst other squads. Your squad forms up, and the point-man calls out that there is a squad -blah- number of feet/yards off to your left. The rest of you look over to see another squad in retreat, having just fared badly against another three squads. Smelling the blood in the air, your squad races over to finish them off before wading onto the thick of the fray. TL;DR: Basically, take the FFA format, but apply it on a Squad-sized level. Since the game is always on, the battle is a constant 24/7 event as squads come and go at their leisure. What do you guys think for PvP/competitive play idea?
