It may be in Ferrari price territory, but this thing will never depreciate. I can't honestly say I'd want this one, but the power they can get out of these things anymore is just mind blowing.

I don't know if it's just me but the horsepower war or whatever you call it is getting a little tiresome. Yes it's amazing that cars can achieve these numbers but I just feel like, all that seems to matter anymore. Maybe it's just me who feels like this.

Edited by Love Sosa: 3/24/2013 4:29:18 PMI'd rather pay for luxury instead of pure power. I would hate driving that car on the street because of noise, but on the track it would be fun. I'd much rather a Nissan GTR

It would be more amazing if it had that much HP and got 40mpg city.

Funny side topic: The Shelby 500 doesn't have 500 horsepower, they tested it on Top gear and it had 447. LOLFORD!!!!

But can it turn corners?

I'm sorry, but 1,200 hit points isn't that strong. That would only last a few minutes against a Red Dragon. I very much doubt a Gold Dragon would even notice it.

lol Mechanically, there's very little stock Mustang left for it to handle that kind of power. And in a car like that, you'll never get all of that power to the ground efficiently. It'll either be strangled by electronic aids or it'll just shred tires. Not to mention that the "1200 HP" is going to be more like 1150 and they'll round up, and that's at the crank, so it'll probably end up being 1100 that gets to the ground.

People will crash them so quickly. Not enough tire for all that motor.

Bugatti Veyron (1,001hp) > Mustang. (1,200hp)

I'm in love with this, it already builds on the insanity of the "Normal" 600HP GT500, then takes it an even bigger step up. 1200HP and street legal. I can't imagine that. I've been waiting to see what Shelby could do with the 5.8L, and they didn't disappoint. The last one was "only" 950HP without that other rare gasoline.

Edited by Spartan Ken 15: 3/22/2013 10:13:58 PMI wonder how high they set the Spedometer on this car

Before I click, lemme guess, live rear axle.
