David Hayter confirmed to not play Big Boss in MGS5.
I have a huge lump in my throat right now. Reading his Tweets, it seems he wasn't even asked to do it.
Snake without Hayter is going to sound so weird. ;_;

2 Repliesin the new gameplay demo that was shown off his voice sounded like kiefer sutherland, big boss didn't say too many words, but it sounded a hell of a lot like kiefer sutherland. what's weird is the other guy in the demo, the bandaged guy helping big boss almost certainly is being voiced by kiefer sutherland. it's unmistakable... is the bandaged guy just in big boss' head? it would explain why they both have the same voice, and why bandage man "ismail" never tried helping BB up much at all, just leaving him to crawl after him.

Also sneaking sounds WAY WAY WAY more complicated, with factors like time of day, weather conditions and multiple pathways taken into effect. edit2: Its MGS "V" instead of 5 because of the Western approach to sequels is to slap a number on the title. Kojima being Kojima wanted to be different. Also only 1 playable character. edit3: Kojima says that this will be his last MGS game (sure) and that the Tokyo and LA studios will then take over the series.

1 ReplyKojima's done an interview with GTTV that should be up later this week, and apparently discussed Hayter's not being hired to voice Big Boss this time around. btw he's not Snake anymore, in Peace Walker's ending he finally believed himself better than The Boss and asked people to call him Big Boss. If he's still called Snake in this game, I will rage.
