At 1100 PST / 1400 EST / 1900 GMT today, Will Self and Peter Hitchens will be debating the motion that "the right to bear arms is a freedom too far", for and against, respectively. I do not agree that firearms need to be banned. If the laws that are already in place are better enforced, along with stricter background checks and making mental health facilities more readily available, gun violence can be significantly decreased.
