Anybody else hate this kid? It really frustrated me how he killed a man without reason, then lie to his father. That was the last straw I had with him, as he also tried to act like a little badass throughout around the end of season 2 and all this season.
What are your opinions on this obnoxious punk?
Also, while we're at it, let's discuss how Andrea committing suicide was in no clear way close to the canon of the comics. I know they added a few things here, and took some out there, but it didn't drastically change anything. She was supposed to be Rick's next romance, and AMC -blam!-ed that up. Besides all that, it's an amazing show.

He looks annoying
-
Carl's cool in season 4
-
The person who played Andrea didn't want to partake in the show anymore, so they killed her off. The more you know.
-
Did Andrea die? The last couple min of all theseason 3 episodes cut off for some reason.
-
Where the -blam!- is carol? Still haven't seen anything of her yet..

I'm pretty pessimistic when it comes to that show now. I mean, I'm still a fan of the show, been one from the start (unlike most people that barely started watching it) but the one thing that bothers me about it, is all the character death. I understand that it's the zombie apocalypse and all, but I feel as though a lot of the character deaths so far were due to a lack of good character development. But hey, that's just my opinion, so just agree to disagree and please don't flame me. As for Carl, I hated him from the start, I just don't have patience for kids. Also, I blame him and solely him, for Dale's death.

Edited by A BIG COWPIE: 2/22/2014 6:56:23 PMYOU MAY WANT TO PUT THAT IN A SPOILER. YOU CAN BE BANNED FOR NOT CLEARLY MARKING IT. AND IF SHE WAS RICK'S ROMANCE IT WOULD MESS WITH MY THEORY. EVERYONE ANDREA SLEEPS WITH IS EVIL.

Edited by BaconShelf: 2/22/2014 7:50:08 PMSeries 4 spoiler
Why the hell did he start walking backwards to lure some away from his house in S4E1?
Edited by john5550: 2/22/2014 7:14:53 PMI think his actor gives a bad delivery. He was a good actor for playing a young kid but isn't good for where the character has gone. And I think Andrea was the biggest piece of missed potential. It would've been better if she felt like she got in over her head sooner and actually had some writers who knew how to write female characters. And she should've stopped falling for the villains. Honestly the show needs more interesting characters and better pacing. Having two slow episodes after a fast paced finale doesn't make much sense and they should've had a little bit of every character in the premier. I'd honestly think some of the group coming across a crazy but helpful stranger to become part of the group would be interesting but they haven't made good use of the fact that there are other people in this world.

Spoiler tags exist for a reason, OP. I'm sure the enmity you feel towards the characters is by design.

Carl did what needed to be done. He's in a group consisting of a cripple, a girl holding a baby, and a young boy. You don't need to add unpredictable hostage to that equation. They also told the guy to put the gun down and he keeps it in his hand. I'd have iced him too. If Rick had done what Carl would've done, the Governor would've died when they met in the barn and alot of lives could've been saved. As for Andrea, yeah, her character was done wrong. She's one of my favorites in the comic, but I didn't care at all when she died tonight.

Edited by Hank Hill: 4/1/2013 4:37:39 AMMight as well ask this: Who in the hell is the black fat chick that appeared on, "The Talking Dead"? I don't remember seeing her appear on the series at all. I know she does an outstanding job on Community though.
-
You idiot. While I agree that Carl's a douche and I hope he soon defects from the group, the show isn't supposed to follow Comic Canon. It's its own story, loosely based on the comics. Your mind is what messed it up, not AMC.
-
All Carl had to do was stay in the house and things would've been alright.

Edited by Nick Saban: 4/1/2013 5:37:54 AMare you kidding me?!! I was waiting for that punk ass to toughen up. He should've killed the kid, how was he supposed to know who he could trust? I don't like how he treated his dad, but he was in the right to shoot the kid. As for Andrea, I wanted to killer her the first time she appeared along with Laurie and Sophia

Edited by X SkeletonCandy: 4/1/2013 5:34:55 AMI was really hoping that Season 3 would help me start to like Carl. But that ending just... it pissed me off, what Carl did. He kills a scared kid, lies to his dad, then basically spits in his face like a little brat. I'm sick of him. As for Andrea, I liked her, but her time had come. She had a good ending, so I wasn't disappointed with her death. EDIT: I feel like Carl is about to become Shane.

that kinda of environment creates kids with that kind of mentality deal with it and start complaining about the differences between the show and the comics this far into it is pointless and stupid
-
Nope, never understood all the hate for him either. Then again, most of the characters people dislike, I don't really understand why. He is only a kid, although what he did tonight was a bit.. horrible, I can understand how he's so messed up. He don't want anymore regrets I suppose. Also, from my understanding, isn't the show and the comics two completely different things? I know they're based off of one another, but from what I heard, there's A LOT of things they done differently from the comics, so why is this such a surprise?
-
I dun get y she pew pew to her face She seemed pretty alive to me
-
well, he did give a decent argument as to why he pulled the trigger, it wasn't just him trying to be a bad ass.
-
Justified. They let someone live and many of the times that person came back to kill a loved one. I would do it. He just came ready to kill my family and friends. He didn't give any reason to spare him.
-
I got a little annoyed by him.

Edited by Heil Wehrmacht: 4/1/2013 4:31:26 AMWho did he kill and why? I haven't kept up past season 1 and I stopped watching because the show got boring. It become more humans vs humans and drama than humans vs zombies I remember a woman with a constant Africa face on all the time. She just has one emotion. She looks pissed off all the time. She had like a katana or something. I thought the whole thing was silly. But then again, I don't read comics or watch drama.
