2013 New York Auto Show Top Picks

Top 20 in the first link. I like the Shelby Raptor, Jaguar XKR-S GT, and The 2014 SRT Viper TA. I know a lot of younger guys will probably like the Subaru WRX Concept, though personally, I never got this type of car. But I'll admit, this looks better to me than the pregnant jelly beans that preceded it.

The new A3/S3 looks great, it's closer in size to the B5 A4/S4, which was pretty much perfect size for a sporty Audi sedan, unfortunately since then the A4/S4 has gotten MUCH larger. The only problems with the A3/S3 IMO, it uses a 4 cylinder, which means it's exhaust note is forever doomed to being terrible. Seriously, the only good sounding 4 cylinder engine is the WRX's boxer and 14-15k rpm motorcycles. That isn't really that big of a deal, however what really sucks it that they don't offer a manual transmission option, unfortunately this is the way the auto industry is going. I would bet that most performance oriented cars won't even offer manuals in about 10 years. I do also like the WRX, well mostly. It's a little bit over the top, but it is only a concept car, I'm guessing the final version will be a little more tame looking, which would be good. Edit: Oh yeah, Chevy finally made the Camaro look pretty good IMO with the ZL1 and the performance package for the SS, and then they murdered with that hideous front end in the new one. Good one GM.
