Enabling subtitles is the first thing I do in any game, and I'm tempted to do the same with movies.
-
Games yes movies no
-
Subtitles in everything. I have pretty good/sharp hearing, but I absorb visual information much faster and with more detail.
-
Yes because I'm hard of hearing.
-
-
Games? No. Movies? Sometimes.
-
Stupid thread is stupid.

-
I always have subtitles on, I just like it better that way
-
First time through on a story driven game? Yes. Otherwise no.
-
-
Depends
-
Depends on what game I'm playing. Usually I only turn them on if the game I'm playing has a lot of action like far cry 3 or borderlands, and I can't hear what people are saying.
-
An option to turn on and off
-
I'm okay with them. If a movie or show is about a group of people in a non-english speaking country, I prefer them. I don't think I would have liked Letters from Iwo Jima as much if it were in English, for some reason.
-
Always.
-
-
Usually for games.
-
Only when it's in a foreign language.
-
depends on the game. Skyrim, yes. Halo no. TV, never
