Why not Tiger Man?
I was just watching the "Brave New World" video from Bungie and then, all of a sudden, a strange marvel appears: Tiger Man! Oh, man... that's totally an awesome race! Nobody has done this combination of mandrill and feline before. It simply looks badass.
Or at least, it gives some variety from a human / ghostly human / mechanic human. I wouldn't like to offend anyone but, man... why not Tiger Man? Why did they discarded it?

Tiger Man is almost surely in the game. He's the one who wrangles and controls the Dragons. The April Fools prank was clearly that Tiger Man, great and noble ruler of space dragons and The Universe, was not in the game.

Tigerman and Bungie reached an agreement a while ago. Tigerman lets Bungie say he's out of the game, and Tigerman stays in the game anyways.
