... you are super lame and should be ashamed.

Its all the same shit, just a different smell. Ive owned a RWD Holden that used to oversteer if i took a turn faster then 30km/h, even less in the wet. Now i own an Integra 02 and its like driving a go kart with more traction. I can take sharp turns at 60km/h and no understeer. tldr same shit

You think people talked about this shit back when they rode horse and buggies? Four horse-team wagon FTW! Two horse buggy masterrace! Autocar FTL! Horseback or GTFO!
-
Edited by banj0: 4/17/2013 8:59:36 AMI can't hear you over the screech of your oversteer.
-
Front wheel drive is cheaper all around and safer, so for the average person they are better. RWD is just more fun. Also, ~All wheel drive doesn't do shit for snow driving, buy some god damn snow tires you idiots~
-
Edited by BR131: 4/16/2013 6:31:20 PMMy front wheel drive has 261K miles on it so I don't really have a reason to be ashamed Also, what do you think about all wheel drive cars?
-
I prefer back wheel because drifting.
-
4WD is nice.
-
I guess I'm lame.
-
My car is 4 wheel drive :)
-
Rear drive V8 Master Race!

Edited by Gatsby: 4/16/2013 7:13:02 PMWell if you're 18 and insurance is really expensive, FWD is better as the insurance for is much cheaper. In the UK anyway I don't know whether this is the case in the US.

Edited by Obi Wan Stevobi: 4/16/2013 6:55:20 PMDriving on ice half the year, I need both. Driving on ice with rear wheel drive is fun if there is no one else around, but really blows if you have to worry about hitting things when the back end breaks loose. Outside of vintage muscle cars, rear wheel only is pretty pointless.

OP drives an automatic.
-
So basically if you don't buy your car for performance. Which would be the vast majority of people.
-
AWD FTW.
-
I agree OP. FWD is for fairies.
-
Yeah, the enormous advantage I have in bad weather is super lame. So is the greatly reduced drivetrain loss when compared to RWD. I'm ashamed of the fact that understeer is far easier to control than oversteer.
-
I enjoy my front wheel drive vehicle, its a good cruiser. But I do prefer my rear wheel drive vehicle over my front wheel drive.
