I can remember the villains from the other Halo games, but I can't remember the name of the Forerunner in Halo 4.
Was it the Didact? I think that's right.
Anyways, has this ever happened to you that you've forgotten something kind of important in a game that you played a few months ago?
-
Happens to me with Halo 4 all the time. What was it about, again?
-
Came into this thread thinking Halo 4. What struck me wasn't that I didn't remember anything, it's that for the first time in a Halo game, I didn't care. I've criticized Reach a lot in the past for not quite delivering fully in its execution of a more stoic and sad Halo, but it was still memorable and distinctly Halo. Halo 4 on the other hand could have easily been any space-marine themed shooter.

Well, as soon as I got to exploring the wastes of New Vegas, I completely forgot about that checkered coat wearing bastard that shot me in the head.
-
No, I've got a pretty good memory for stuff like that. You need to when you're a history student.
-
Quite a few, non of the ones from my favourite games though.
-
Probably a COD campaign They are just meant for action and not so much for story IMO.
-
I totally agree with Halo 4. That game's plot lost me so much, after a while all I knew was I had to run someplace, press X to push a button or pop Cortana into a USB slot, or kill the badguys in a room. Fallout 3 also really lost me. It seemed like the beginning built toward a big story taking place, then I was shoved out of the Vault and it was like the game told me: "Go do whatever you want now and forget about the story we were just telling you!" I was a little perplexed...

I forget the story of most open world games pretty much immediately. In some games it almost feels like the story is getting in the way of free roaming.
-
Every single Halo game ever. Absolutely terrible storytelling in those games.
-
Halo 4? What's that? There was a Halo 4? ....yeah, that's how forgettable that game was for me, it wasn't even worth remembering :/ Aside from that though, probably any and every single Call of Duty game except for the Modern Warfare ones. Most games I play or watch being played though are good one, so I always remember them and the really important, and often minor, stuff about them. Not with Halo 4 though, I can't be bothered to remember anything about it really, I'd actually prefer to just blot it from my memory at this point...same with a lot of 343i's new stuff.
-
I forgot the entirety of the Bioshock 2 story line (other than the fact that it's still set at the bottom of the ocean).
-
I don't know about this, but everyone keeps referring to this game called "Mass Effect 3". It's really weird. I always tell them that I own all two of the Mass Effect games already.
-
I just draw complete blanks when I think about Black Ops 1. All I remember is something about Reznov and a train.
-
I can't remember the stories from most of the games I've played. It's very rare that a game's story is actually worth remembering.
-
Edited by Oneironaut: 4/19/2013 11:47:40 PMGears of War 3, that games was just so forgettable, if I'm talking about Gears with my friends, I have to stop for a few minutes just to remember what went on in that game. Also, Black Ops, I still don't get that game..
-
I forgot the name of a villain in Fallout New Vegas was Lenny or Benny or something like that?
-
Assassin's Creed II. I didn't pay much attention to the whole conspiracy part (which was done wonderfully), so I missed why I needed to kill this guy or who that guy even was. I should replay it.
-
Yeah, I have a terrible memory. I'll let a few years go by and replay a game like it's brand new. Ok, not like it's brand new, but I do forget a lot of plot points.
-
Maybe for some games that I haven't played in years and years, but I can usually remember that kind of stuff.
-
I had a hell of a time trying figure out what was happening in Crysis 2 seeing as how I didn't play the first game.
-
All of Halo 4. I forgot that it even existed.
-
I forgot what the heck was going on in lost odyssey, I'm on the last disc and never finished it because I forgot what I was doing :/
-
Any Call of Duty villain ever. Except Makarov.
-
> First known Forerunner character > Been in the lore since 2007 > Appeared in multiple novels and mentioned frequently > Can't remember name Duardo, your age is showing!
-
Yep, with Halo 3 and Reach.
-
That always says something about a movie, game, or even worse a book.
