Maybe this isn't the most relevant thing to post, but I've always felt myself wholly capable of forgiving even the most awful of acts if the person behind them sincerely feels sorrow.

They are losers. They both knew that they weren't going to win the race so they planted bombs to cheat. But unfortunately they were way behind and those bombs didn't go off for the top people. It could have been worse though for them. They could have finished dead last.

Apparently the captured one was the one who planted the bomb that killed the 8 year old. I have no sympathy.
