How ironic that it's now the Scientists persecuting the Church.
700 years ago, the Church had ultimate power and the scientists had to do everything to quiver and stay unnoticed from it.
Now, the scientists are hurting the church's power legally, and it has to issue new "reinterpreations" of the Bible to appease them.

That's not ironic. Because scientists aren't persecuting the church. There are plenty of scientists that still believe in a Religion.
