Konami has now confirmed the Legacy Collection, which "will include Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid 3: HD Edition (which includes the original MSX versions of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2), Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions and Metal Gear Solid 4: Trophy Edition. In addition, the collection will also include two Ashley Wood digital graphic novels."
First outed by a Korean ratings board listing, the set appears to be titled the Metal Gear Solid Legacy Collection and is listed only for PlayStation 3.
...Yet it still doesn't include Portable Ops lol.

Definitely buying this when it comes out. I think Kojima wants to bury Portable Ops. As far as I can tell, Legacy Collection is supposed to be the quintessential Metal Gear experience, and Peacewalker was written in such a way that if you only played MGS3 and not Portable Ops you're good to go. It is rather sad, since I thought Portable Ops was alright (although the control scheme was nto the greatish).

If it wasn't for the PS3 reference the size of the game and the pathetic DVD format MS still uses. This could have been available for the 360. Also I wish they do some HD collection for Metal Gear ACID. I haven't played the 1st game, but the 2nd one is fun. So why isn't there an HD remake of Portable OPS? Does what's his nuts hate it or something?

Edited by OmegaCircuit: 4/22/2013 10:06:56 PMI still kind of think Portable Ops should have been in the HD Collection. I won't be buying this, since, if I buy VR Missions, I'll have all the games in this collection already.
