I believe that in a brand new game bungie should not forget a big part of there heritage, as they did with the marathon symbol in halo. Yes I believe no mater how little or hard to find it is that there should be a halo Easter egg in destiny, perhaps a crashed hog, a unsc fire base, John 117 "grave site" (halo 3). But however small I believe bungie should remember Spartans never die!!!117

If prefer a Marathon reference. Maybe a Zeus class fusion rifle or Magnum mega class hand cannon!
-
No because if Bungie can move on then so should it's fans. Halo is dead, long live Destiny...
-
Legally speaking, if Bungie were to put a Halo Reference in the game, Microsoft/343 have every right to sue them for copyright infringement.
-
technically speaking, didn't us, the guardians, kill any spartan that went out of the boundaries of the maps of halo?

I heard someone spotted a forklift like forky from Reach in the glass vault!

Edited by Raging_Bullgod: 8/11/2014 3:25:10 AMI wouldn't be surprised if there is a Spartan armor some where half buried that will be scannable and you get a comment like. "Ah, a Guardian from before the Golden Age. His job is done and he deserves the rest." or "Curious. This pre-golden age armor has traces of a Ghost signature I'm not familiar with."

Just to see 117 carved into a cave somewhere would be awesome
-
"You ever wonder why we're here" in the opening cutscene

I 100% guarantee, someplace, somewhere in Destiny, there is a Halo Easter egg.

Edited by EpimethiusPSN: 9/1/2014 3:16:17 AMI still say at the end of the 10 years of Destiny it turns out that a Dying Master Chief merged with a massively powerful alien force and became the Traveler, then he came back to our solar system to help mankind . . . once again.

I don't care what opposing ps4 users say,a secret unsc firebase would be epic

I Agree! #117

Make it happen Bungie.
-
While that may be great, I feel that Bungie should try to make Destiny as far as possible from the Halo universe. Too many people complain about the games being too similar and I feel that having a Halo easter egg would only perpetuate their beliefs.
-
Therenis forky does that count
-
theres a bunch of stuff from halo bungie has in destiny even if it doesnt seem like it bungie will never get rid of their halo elements
-
They only go MIA
-
Aside that it's a different universe and era, I don't think so. I think Bungie would get in trouble for doing so as well, as Halo is now for 343i, which is from Microsoft and they're kinda... whiney on that stuff

At the end of Halo 6, Master Chief has to sacrifice his life to stop the forerunners from destroying ALL of humanity. In doing so, John locks himself in a preservation sphere called the Traveler and has to control the sphere and travel to one location in the whole galaxy to preserve one distinct location. With the only logical choice in mind, Master Chief heads to Earth to save humanity. There he stops the forerunner's manipulated halo blast that was directed at the Didact's main enemy, humans. With the Golden Age ended, the humans have to rebuild and search the galaxy. but baby steps must be taken and the solar system is trouble enough. Master chief now lies at rest in the traveler, waiting for us to release him... COMPLETELY FICTIONAL(NOT REAL) don't want you guys actually believing that.
