I believe that in a brand new game bungie should not forget a big part of there heritage, as they did with the marathon symbol in halo. Yes I believe no mater how little or hard to find it is that there should be a halo Easter egg in destiny, perhaps a crashed hog, a unsc fire base, John 117 "grave site" (halo 3). But however small I believe bungie should remember Spartans never die!!!117

Well Bungie's goal is to make Destiny a game where future games put Destiny references in them.
-
I would be really disappointed if there wasn't an Easter egg about halo in destiny.

If we want the Destiny experience to be amazing, we should leave Halo to 343 Industries, and give Bungie a chance to start a new series. Not only that, but the Halo and Destiny Universes CANNOT co-exist. Halo is in a time line where the encounter with the Covenant is humanity's first encounter with alien species, and Destiny is a similar story. In fact, Destiny strikes closer to home, since the Traveler came pretty close to our day and age, if the rusted cars are an indication of the tech level during the invasion. Possible invasion date would be around 50-100 years from now? Anyways, give Bungie a chance, Halo is now in a completely different universe. Let the Time-Space Continuum stay the way it is.

Imagine, sliding behind cover from Vex fire on the Frontier. You're low on ammo and out of space-magic. You turn to retreat when you notice a gleam in the grass. After checking to make sure cover is close by, you make for the shiny object. There lies a EVA helmet, the visor broken but no other armor around to show for the spartan's death. You see what must be done and turn to face your enemies with the ten rounds you have left and the new found Halo inspired determination coursing through your veins. That's the Easter Egg that the franchise deserves from its founders.

How about finding a halo game case,or a mini master cheif action figure and you can keep it in your ship
-
Please no reference to HALO, please. Why confuse two different "Lores" with each other. We want to be guardians of the galaxy... Not constantly be reminded of some Spartan which does not even exhist in our "reality" ;)

Microsoft should have let halo die
-
An odst armored Titan, just sayin.
-
How would one feel going about the universe and collecting skulls?
-
It would be utter and total heresy for there not to be an egg of Easter devoted to Halo. Remember the beginnings, and forget the pain.
-
There should definitely be a halo reference somewhere

Whats up boys, just started a new group call Death is Destiny. Hit us up and join to share thoughts, ideas, and recent Destiny news, thanks. #DiD

Would be nice to see spark in a corner or something, but 343 would probably be like nuh uh!
-
Maybe not Easter eggs per se. I don't want to be playing Destiny and be reminded of what 343i did to one of my favorite franchises. But. Subtle Dialog references would be nice. Having some story NPC's make little comments from the halo series. Nothing so extreme as quoting one of Chief, Arby, Cortana or Johnson's iconic speeches like Johnson's "Regret" joke or Chief's "I thought I'd try shooting my way out". But little things like "Knowing what the ladies like." Or having a female NPC tell you to "Wake up, chief."
-
It would be cool but there not all for halo
-
I don't think there should be, if you watch any interviews or vidocs; they emphasize that they're breaking away from the Halo franchise. Plus, I don't think they want to connect those universes together. But, you never know until you play the game.
-
I bet they'll be one. Bungie can get real creative with those easter eggs.
-
Yes definetly something like a pickup able weapon or vechile
-
Its need one.
-
Bungie always have hidden references to their previous games. (Myth, Oni, Marathon, Ect.) Why would that stop now?
-
i think marathon should be referenced that would be cooler...just my opinion though
-
We could have something [an easter egg] that directs the attention to an alternate universe, where mankind either makes a decision pivotal to the Halo universe, and the other towards the Destiny saga. Instead of biological advancements, you have more mystical and technological ones. Hence the Exo and Awoken.
-
Perhaps if Seattle/Bellevue a playable space, we could explore the ruins of Bungie's headquarters. Or, as an homage to another Easter Egg, we might see a Reach poster hanging from the crumbling remains of a wall somewhere.
-
Maybe they could do something similar with in game weapons and armor like Lionhead Studios did with Fable 2.
-
Does anyone remember the Destiny easter egg in halo? I think it was Halo ODST or Reach.
-
Let Halo go.
