I believe that in a brand new game bungie should not forget a big part of there heritage, as they did with the marathon symbol in halo. Yes I believe no mater how little or hard to find it is that there should be a halo Easter egg in destiny, perhaps a crashed hog, a unsc fire base, John 117 "grave site" (halo 3). But however small I believe bungie should remember Spartans never die!!!117

I think they would if they spoke to Microsoft about it (lets face it, MS has the real power over halo). They described letting go of halo as letting go a baby.
-
They'll probably put his helmet in the game somewhere.
-
It's only fair! For those of us who've grown up with Bungie's Halo, it would mean a great deal! I remember that Bungie put a song from the soundtrack of one of their previous games into Halo, and it would be so awesome to hear some spruced-up version of a song from Halo playing in Destiny's soundtrack!

Yes yes yes, 175.3% YES!!!!!
-
come on, who didn't enjoy easter egg hunts as a kid? those who say they didn't skipped childhood alltogether and were born into this world as indifferent teenagers
-
Halo is shit now, it stopped getting good after ODST. I don't care about anything Halo related anymore.
-
Well Microsoft owns Halo and pretty much everything that comes with it. No Halo Easter eggs unless Microsoft gives permission.
-
I agree even if its just a halo ring that u can see in the background of space.
-
Bungie has said that since they no longer own Halo, they won't be doing Halo easter eggs.
-
I bet there will be. Even if Bungie said no. I bet you almost anything there will be at least a throw back to Halo.
-
Idiots
-
If people want it referenced or not, it will have more than one.
-
as long as it isn't explicitly about halo, i think bungie could probably get away with it. I mean, there's a whole bunch of references in games to other series that they don't own, and since bungie was the actual creator of this series, I'd think 343 would give them some slack Plus, 343 used the marathon symbol in spartan ops, so I figure they owe bungie

Only if it is for wall decoration and not something I need!!
-
Since Destiny is 700 years into the future, it could be after Master Chief claims the mantle and that starts the Golden Age. It could be tied into Halo. Its a CONSPIRACY MAN!!!!!!!
-
I thought about this a few weeks ago. Bungie should def make a few eggs.
-
I do not understand anyone who voted no
-
Well I mean look at gearbox games, they have tons of easter eggs to stuff they don't own. Bungie just needs to ask permission. So it's obviously 100% possible! Just wonder if you have to pay royalties for easter eggs like that...
-
I don't think their necessarily should be any easter eggs, but if I came across a Mark of Shame glyph etched into a wall or something along those lines, I'd find it somewhat amusing. There will probably be a couple nods to it.

Its not really of matter of should they but more of can they since 343 owns Halo and all. Any Easter egg would have to be so vague that it could mean anything but only specific halo fans would get the reference
-
Why not. They done this before after all. They originated the game Oni and in Halo Oni was a big part of Halo so how about the use the word Halo for the word hello. "Halo how you doing today"
-
Just ask the old bungie employes at 343 for permision i think there should be halo easter eggs everywhere in the game . For instence a secret weapon in the game that is skinned as an halo assault rifle
-
It can't because 343 owns halo now, and bungie can't do that if they wanted to
-
My original thought on this was Hell No......then I got to thinking that Bungie will inevitably find an amazing way to get this done....I guess I would prefer to call it a tribute of sorts instead of an Easter Egg(So Halo)
-
Of course. Bungie's always referenced their other games in Halo, I see no reason why it shouldn't be in Destiny. 343 wouldn't mind at all.
