You should definitely know how to drive. Or at least know how to start a car.
“He attempted to start the vehicle, but did not know how,” the news release states. “During his failed attempts, he opened the trunk, and flashed the lights. After several seconds, the suspect quit trying to start the car. He got out of the car and ran across the parking lot, toward the rear of the Dollar General Store.”
Driving a car is too mainstream obviously.
-
I guess you could say *puts on sunglasses* He didn't have the drive
-
:lol Seems legit

Winning isn't important, participating is.

I used to take my parents car out when they went out when I was younger. I remember I spent about 10 minutes at the bottom of my cul-de-sac trying to work out how the lights turned on. Later that night I was parked outside some local shops, I noticed the police pass by and stop at the lights. I thought I should probably leave since being parked outside some shops at 1am might seem suspicious, I put the car in reverse and hit the pedal but nothing happened, at this point I was shitting myself, I kept hitting the pedal but no revs - after about 30 seconds of trying and my friend reminding me the police are probably going to turn round and start asking questions, I realised I been hitting the brake pedal and not the accelerator, flashing my break lights like a twat (also, a tell tale sign to the police of someone paying a lady of the night for some oral pleasure). I reversed as calmly as I could given the situation, drove over a crest of a hill and broke the sound barrier getting back to my driveway without being caught. Never again.

That same store was part of an attempted robbery in February, but the store clerk killed the robber. To try and rob this store, you'd have to be an idiot. But then again, he couldn't start a car....
-
What an idiot.
-
relevant. People tried to steal some guys Corvette. Failed because they didn't know how to drive stick. idiots.
-
-
The guy obviously played too much GTA.
-
Thieves are perhaps the dumbest breed of criminals in existence.

Edited by Wild Smurf 14: 4/27/2013 7:55:49 AMReminds me of another car-jacking attempt I read about. In this one, the car-jacker didn't know how to work stick, despite the guy he was stealing from telling him how to work it. The thief eventually just ran off with the guy's wallet. Edit: Oops. MarkFanous already posted that story. Ah well.
-
I like this guy, he has ambition, next time maybe he'll try a helicopter, or a space rocket, hilarity will ensue.
-
That's why you play the Grand Theft Auto series.
-
Maybe it was a button start car or the ignition switch was in a different place.
-
He should have at least tried to put it in neutral and push it away.
-
Silly silly people
-
Atleast he tried...
-
Man, what are they teaching kids in school these days? Everyone in my neighborhood knows to to drive a stolen vehicle.
-
That's happened on the show "Bait Car" before. They leave a car with keys in it and wait for someone to steal it, hidden cameras all over the place in the car. There were a couple they had to kill before the thief got it out of the parking lot because they obviously had no idea what they were doing.

..."Don't dress like a car thief." - Spider-Man

Edited by Buckysaurus: 4/26/2013 2:09:59 AMSomeone didn't play GTA as a kid.
-
The hell if i wouldnt download a car. That would be fly as hell
-
It's the thought that counts, right?
-
Wow, how do you not know how to start a car?
-
... I just had Deja Vu, you posted a news article like this before but it was about how the attempted carjackers didn't know how to drive a stick.
