DISCLAIMER: This isn't a thread about debating whether or not either one of those things exist, so please don't come here with that crap...
Anyway OT: It's something that I just thought about recently, and I realized that I've never know the difference between the two. Would someone care to explain?

A soul is an intrinsic spiritual fingerprint of a person. A spirit is a spiritual being. A soul can be a spirit, but angels are also spirits
-
Having one means that you can dance, having the other is usually listed as a good thing after the person lists all your bad traits.
-
I've never heard it explained in detail, but I and others below seem to agree that a soul is bound to a body or vessel, and a spirit is not.

Edited by Dus Maximum: 5/7/2013 9:17:18 PMI think a soul belongs to and is a part of someone, whereas a spirit may represent, but isn't physically attached to, a person.
-
One is the concept of an immaterial central energy composed essentially of the psyche of oneself, and the other is alcohol.
-
I believe Souls are internal to the body, and spirits are external.
-
I think they different words for the same thing, but definitions may vary with the person's belief system.
-
Semantics.
-
Soul is in your body and spirit is when it is not. After you die. I think.
-
Neither of those exist.
