I'm thinking about asking this question in the mail sack this week, but I want to get all of your opinions first:
Is Destiny going to be a game where you are constantly attacking enemies, or are there going to be some peaceful/calm exploration opportunities? Can I drive around a vehicle without huge machineguns attached to it (like Halo's Transport Warthog) and lower my weapon if I choose to? Simply put: Is Destiny going to be a search-and-destroy type of game or not?

I think both, extra seasoning required. I think Destiny represent will appear to all players of casual and/or hardcore gamers. It's a wide fanbase and if you want to keep players coming back for 40/50 hours a month after release, you have to address these questions. I see the main "campaign" as something you're able to experience as a solo or coop game. Mainly, you're able to see other players in the world of "Destiny" but they aren't able to interact with your progress if you're in story mode. I think it would be a bit annoying to have players constantly grieving or interfering with your single player progress, making you start over again. But if you're into free roam, grouped up with buddies, you're fair game ;-)
