I finally met Lindsey Stirling. I was able to see her in Montclair, New Jersey, then in Richmond, Virginia the following night. It was awesome, she's such a sweet person and surprisingly easy to talk to. I was surprised when she said she recognized me from the previous night, since she's done this with thousands of people. I got some things signed, watched a couple of awesome concerts. And am sore from it all (worth it though).
Montclair was kinda disappointing on the audience's end. It was a sitting venue and the crowd wasn't energetic and they basically prevented people from having fun. Although Lindsey did really well on stage, it was apparent that it wasn't her favorite show. I think she was disappointed that night and was really glad Richmond turned out the way it did.
Before the Richmond show I met with a friend (Who's a professional photographer) and another friend and we hung out and had a late lunch before getting in line. My photographer friend was willing to take my picture for the meet and greet (which was awesome) and he photographed the entire show, alone in the photo pit. Richmond's crowd was much, much better. The audience was into it and jumping along and I could tell Lindsey was feeding off the energy and she did better than she did the previous night. It was bad enough (in Montclair) that Gavi (her keyboardist) admitted to not remembering what city they had played the night before because it wasn't worth remembering. The crowd wore her out and she was more tired than I remember seeing her in either New York or in Montclair.
After the Richmond concert I waited outside along with about 25 other people near the doors, she eventually came out and was very nice about signing and conversing with people even though they were just about to leave. My photographer friend was able to get his photo pass signed and she said he was great and that she loved his photos (which is amazing for him).
That night is easily the best night of my life.
Picture is the stuff I got signed
Two Assassin's Creed posters, a mousepad, a ticket, and a VIP pass. I also got her Balance poster in Montclair.
