Ironic coming from the company that made Origin. (God I hate Origin)
-
Someone should ask this engineer why EA is the reigning champion of worst company in a America for two years running... I also want to know why EA decided to copy/paste FIFA this past year? Why has Madden been milked for 25 years in a row without any hardly any changes each year? Why does Battlefield needs to rival CoD every year with an annual release? And why did EA run Bioware into the ground?

It's funny because it's EA.

Edited by CND AAA Beef: 5/18/2013 1:41:55 AMIt's Nintendo's job to attract developers to its hardware. The Infinity, PS4, and PC are all going to be using the same basic architecture. Third party devs can make games for all three relatively cheaply. But porting it to the Wii U takes more time and money. At the end of the day, it's more profitable to bring products cheaply to 3/4s of the market, then to spend a lot to bring it to 1/4 of the market. What I hear from some gamers is "I'll buy the Wii U for all of Nintendo's exclusives, and an Xbox or PS for CoD, Halo, etc". For Nintendo, that's TERRIBLE! The last thing any business wants is for customers to hand over money to their competitors. If Nintendo wants to make money, they want gamers to buy only their console, and only games on their console. And a good way of doing that is to have third party devs make games for their console. Yeah, LolEA and all that, but this is Business 101: Get people to buy your shit and not the other guy's shit. And the more good-quality games you can get onto your console, the better. And nevermind the fact that Nintendo missed the boat on both online gaming and HD gaming. Beat the hell out of the Xbox 1 all you want, but it was the first HD console and it brought online play to the masses back when that was considered PC only.

Doesn't really bother me that EA isn't producing games for it. I'm likely to get it anyway for exclusives.
-
This thing sound like a complete failure to me. EA not making games for them is a big blow. I know a lot of people buy those exclusives. But when I buy a system I buy it to play other games out there. Say what you want about EA, but they do produce fun titles and now they're going to do Star Wars games. To top that off apparently the Wii U is weaker than the 360. Which means the Wii U really isn't a next gen console. I know the Wii is weaker than the 360, but having your next gen console being the same is a bad move. Now they are 2 generations behind in tech.

This guy isn't gonna be employed much longer.

Edited by tntbabin: 5/18/2013 3:22:13 AMHonestly, I don't really wanna buy it, but I really want the next Zelda and Smash Bros. games... So I'll probably end up grabbing one when one of those games comes out. Kinda sucks when you buy a console for 2 games though :/

Kettle, meet Pot.

Well, he's actually right. As a console itself, I don't really understand it personally. I feel like they would have fared better if they had just implemented their new ideas into a new peripheral for the first Wii rather than launching a new generation based off a small update.
-
Nintendo should have started focusing solely on handle held gaming.. They basically started it?
-
Wow, EA is really really mad that they weren't allowed to have their origin app on Wii U. And besides, do any of us really care if EA games aren't on the Wii U. People only buy Nintendo consoles for the first party exclusives anyway. Lets all stop pretending that this will spell the death of Nintendo. Nobody cares if EA isn't on Wii U. Did any of us really see FIFA 12 selling bucketloads on the Wii? No, so get real internet.
-
The WiiU is using outdated software, how Nintendo expected it to compete in the console race is beyond me. Nintendo should just pull the plug on consoles and concentrate on making games besides Mario and Zelda.
-
Can't say I disagree with him. Also Nintendo now stopping fans from doing let's play videos (stopping them as in taking the fans money = less players inclined to promote Nintendo games) doesn't help them or their failure of a console either. They have been behind for many years now and with MS and Sony releasing their next next-gen consoles the wii-U will be even more of a dinosaur.

Edited by Funkbrotha10: 5/18/2013 12:18:59 AMHe's about right. Its supposed to be a "next gen" console. and I have barely heard a single blip about it despite it being launched many months ago. I call that a total failure.
